Job Description

Job Title: HR Advisor

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our Practice Management team. The successful candidate will provide HR advisory and support services to ensure the smooth running of all 'people related' issues across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. HR Advisory: Provide HR advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of HR-related issues, including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, and sickness absence.
  2. Employee Relations: Conduct and/or support HR meetings, including disciplinary, dismissal, grievance, absence management, and workplace conflict as required.
  3. Recruitment and Selection: Lead and direct the recruitment and selection process for all departments, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  4. New Starters and Induction Process: Administer tasks for new starters, including providing finance department with accurate new starter details, creating personnel files, and setting up new starters on the HR system.
  5. Training and Development: Design and deliver training workshops for managers and employees on HR issues, procedures, and policies.
  6. Performance Management: Ensure all performance reviews and appraisals are conducted and administered in a consistent and timely fashion.
Requirements:
  1. Qualifications: Qualified to a minimum of CIPD Level 5 in Human Resource Management.
  2. Experience: Minimum 2 years HR experience in advising on a wide variety of employee relation issues.
  3. Skills: Strong time-management and ability to manage own workload, working knowledge of Microsoft 365 packages and HR software, up-to-date employment law knowledge.
Benefits:
  1. Competitive Salary: Up to £34,000 DOE.
  2. Holiday Entitlement: 25 days plus public holidays, increasing with length of service up to 30 days.
  3. Additional Benefits: Optional 1 day per week home working, free parking, staff social and team building events, auto-enrolment workplace pension, professional development and training opportunities, paid study leave, breakfast clubs, free eye tests.
