Senior HR Advisor

We're seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our HR Shared Services team at B&M Retail Ltd. As a trusted advisor, you'll provide expert guidance on employment relations, employee lifecycle management, and compliance with UK employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic advice on complex employment issues, including ER casework, disciplinaries, and grievances.
  2. Manage a high-volume caseload, ensuring timely and effective resolution of employee concerns.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail colleagues and managers, providing coaching and guidance on employment compliance.
  4. Stay up-to-date with legislative changes, ensuring informed decision-making and advice.

Requirements:

  1. At least five years' experience in a HR Advisor role, preferably in a commercial environment.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  3. Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and employment law.
  4. Confident using Microsoft Office and in-house tracking and reporting systems.
  5. A friendly, supportive, and empathetic approach, with a willingness to challenge or question when necessary.
