Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner to join our Community CAMHS East team. The successful candidate will work with children and young people who are presenting with complex mental health difficulties in the moderate to severe range.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and offer a range of specialist interventions under the Thrive framework, including family work and group work.
  • Work closely with a range of professionals from social care, acute care, and community and voluntary sector teams within the context of CAPA and CYP-IAPT.
  • Offer mental health assessments and interventions to children, young people, and their families.
  • Collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.

Requirements
  • RMN, RGN, or RSCN qualification
  • Clinical or Counselling Psychologist qualification
  • Systemic or Family Therapist qualification
  • Social Worker or recognized equivalent qualification
  • Registration with HCPC or BACP
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
  • Specialist training in an appropriate area and knowledge of CAPA and CYP-IAPT
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Further training or qualification in a relevant area of practice
  • Experience of service quality monitoring, clinical audit, evaluative research, etc.
