About the Position

Become a vital member of the Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon UK Services Ltd., where your expertise will ensure the optimal performance of essential machinery.

As an RME Technician, your primary responsibility will be to maintain a wide variety of equipment and work environments while strictly following Health and Safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute proactive and preventative maintenance activities on site machinery
  • Perform reactive repairs and troubleshooting in an active warehouse environment
  • Employ advanced tools to enhance equipment performance
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and standards
  • Assist in the training and development of onsite apprentices
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices across various locations

A Typical Day

In this on-site role, you will swiftly respond to machinery malfunctions, carry out scheduled maintenance tasks, and effectively manage breakdowns. You will collaborate with experienced colleagues to perform diverse maintenance duties and coordinate with external service providers as necessary.

About the Team

The RME team is composed of proficient professionals dedicated to maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing equipment in fulfillment centers globally. From integrating cutting-edge technology to ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing operational efficiency, the team is crucial to Amazon's technical operations.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a comprehensive Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
  • Proven experience as a qualified engineer with a specialization in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
  • Proficiency in the local language

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced certifications and experience in condition-based monitoring, print and apply machinery, and maintenance of conveyor or automation systems are highly regarded.
