The business is a pioneer in luxury interior design, producing high-end, quality specification products to install in customers' homes.
In a newly created role, the Safety, Health, and Environment Manager will join the business at a strategic level, responsible for driving a safety best practice culture across the four business entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance to senior leadership on best practices and driving a safety culture in the business.
- Work alongside Directors to develop and deliver engaging health and safety training/workshops to colleagues from shop-floor to manager level.
- Lead environmental sustainability initiatives, providing ideas on how the business can be doing more.
- Influence a workforce of 500 colleagues to value the importance of safety in the workplace and hold accountability for initiatives.
- Develop and implement effective safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and motivate a large team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
