About the Role

We're seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our Graduate Programme in Wales. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering our electricity distribution systems, serving communities of over 8 million people.

Our Major Projects team is responsible for the operation and maintenance of our 132kV electricity network, comprising overhead lines, underground cables, and substations. You'll work closely with our expert teams to deliver projects safely, on time, on budget, and to a high standard.

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you'll be based at one of our Project Teams offices, but will spend a significant proportion of your time on site across our dedicated distribution licence area. You'll work with a broad range of colleagues and contractors, requiring excellent communication and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organise and monitor individual tasks to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Minimise risk to the security of our distribution network.
  • Identify training needs and provide training in civil activities.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in performance and implement or recommend changes.
Requirements

You'll need to achieve a minimum 2:2 in an Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, Sciences, or Data Sciences degree discipline. A full valid UK driving license is also required, as you'll need to travel to our site locations.

Flexibility to travel within the role and throughout your rotations is essential. To be eligible to apply, candidates must demonstrate that they will have the legal right to work in the UK for the duration of the graduate programme.
