The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is actively seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team in East Renfrewshire. Please note: Due to the specific requirements of this role, we can only consider applications from female candidates who possess a valid driving license and have access to their own vehicle.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will hold a vital position within our Front Line Management team, with responsibilities divided into three key areas:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Mentor and coach front line staff, providing essential support and regular supervision.
    • Assess the training needs of your team and ensure appropriate training is delivered.
    • Create and manage the monthly staff rota, balancing budgetary constraints while ensuring all team members fulfill their contracted hours and managing leave and absences.
    • Enhance your team's ability to develop accurate and effective support plans.
    • Provide on-call support as required.
  • Support for Individuals:
    • Organize and lead meetings with individuals and their significant others to gather necessary information for crafting effective support plans.
    • Skillfully match supported individuals with staff members, considering their identified goals and desired outcomes.
  • Organizational Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with external agencies, including families and Social Work Services.
    • Ensure compliance with standards set by the SSSC and Care Inspectorate, as well as The Richmond Fellowship Scotland's internal standards.
    • Represent the values of The Richmond Fellowship Scotland positively when interacting with external stakeholders.

Qualifications:
To seize this exceptional opportunity, you should have a minimum of two years of experience in supporting individuals within the care sector and either possess or be willing to pursue your SVQ Level 3 qualification.

The successful candidate will also be required to register with the SSSC as a Supervisor in Care at Home and Housing Support Services upon commencing the role.
