The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is actively seeking to recruit a Senior Support Worker for our services in East Renfrewshire.

Please note that due to the nature of this position, we can only accept applications from female candidates who possess a valid driving license and have access to their own vehicle.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be classified as Front Line Management staff, and your responsibilities will encompass three key areas:


Staff Management:
  • Providing coaching and mentorship to front line staff while offering necessary support, including regular supervision.
  • Identifying training needs for your team and ensuring that appropriate training is delivered.
  • Creating the monthly work schedule for your team, considering budgetary constraints and ensuring that all staff fulfill their contracted hours while managing holiday coverage and absences.
  • Enhancing your team's capability to develop accurate and effective support plans.
  • Providing on-call support as required.

Supported Individuals:
  • Organizing and facilitating meetings with individuals and significant people in their lives to gather essential information for crafting effective support plans.
  • Skillfully matching supported individuals with staff members, keeping in mind the identified outcomes and goals for each individual.

Organizational:
  • Collaborating with external agencies, such as family members or Social Work Services.
  • Ensuring compliance with the standards set by the SSSC and Care Inspectorate, as well as The Richmond Fellowship Scotland's internal standards.
  • Positively representing the values of The Richmond Fellowship Scotland when interacting with all external stakeholders.

Requirements:

To seize this excellent opportunity, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting individuals within the care sector and either possess or be willing to pursue your SVQ Level 3.

The successful candidate must also register with SSSC as a Supervisor in Care at Home and Housing Support Services upon commencing the role.
