The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is currently in search of a Senior Support Worker for our services in East Renfrewshire.

Please note that due to the nature of this role, we can only accept applications from female candidates who possess a valid driving license and have access to their own vehicle.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be classified as Front Line Management staff, and your responsibilities will encompass three key areas as outlined below:

Staff Management:

- Providing coaching and mentorship to front line staff while offering necessary support, including regular supervision.
- Assessing the training needs of your team and ensuring that appropriate training is delivered.
- Creating the monthly rota for your team, considering budgetary constraints and ensuring that all staff fulfill their contracted hours while managing holiday cover and absences.
- Enhancing your team's ability to develop accurate and effective support plans.
- Covering on-call shifts as required.

Supported Individuals:

- Organizing and facilitating meetings with individuals and significant people in their lives to gather the necessary information for crafting effective support plans.
- Skillfully matching supported individuals with staff members, taking into account the identified outcomes and goals for each individual.

Organizational:

- Collaborating with external agencies, such as family members or Social Work Services.
- Ensuring compliance with the standards set by the SSSC and Care Inspectorate, as well as The Richmond Fellowship Scotland's own standards.
- Positively representing the values of The Richmond Fellowship Scotland when engaging with all external stakeholders.

Requirements:

To seize this excellent opportunity, you will need a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in supporting individuals within the care sector and either possess or be willing to pursue your SVQ Level 3 qualification.

The successful candidate must also register with SSSC as a Supervisor in Care at Home and Housing Support Services upon commencement of the role.
