Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, full-time HR Assistant to become a vital member of our small, versatile HR team. As the initial point of contact for HR inquiries, the HR Assistant will address routine questions and clarify the application of HR policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment process, including the preparation of contractual documents.
- Process monthly payroll adjustments efficiently.
- Coordinate learning and development initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, demonstrating clarity and confidence in addressing inquiries and explaining processes. A commitment to supporting the College's Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Strategy is crucial, along with a genuine interest in promoting these values.
Proficiency in IT, particularly with Microsoft Office applications, is necessary. Candidates should excel in managing a dynamic workload while prioritizing customer service and attention to detail.
Desirable Experience
Experience in HR, particularly with HR/Payroll systems such as iTrent, is advantageous. Familiarity with employment legislation and an understanding of HR processes, including right to work checks, recruitment, and pensions administration, is preferred.
Work Arrangement
This is a full-time position, requiring the postholder to work onsite three days a week and remotely for two days.
