Position Overview:
This is a permanent, full-time role within the Employment Department, focusing on Employment Tribunal matters.

Department Insight:
Our Employment team is consistently recognized as a leader in the field, advising a diverse range of UK and multinational clients. We are establishing a specialized Litigation Hub within our Employment Legal Practice Group, dedicated to managing high-volume Employment Tribunal cases primarily for Respondents.

Key Responsibilities:
The Litigation Assistant will focus exclusively on Employment Tribunal cases within the Litigation Hub. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting senior associates and partners with ongoing cases
- Managing individual matters under supervision throughout the claim lifecycle
- Engaging directly with clients on contentious Employment Tribunal work
- Developing skills and responsibilities in line with personal aptitude and client needs
- Opportunities for career advancement within the Litigation Hub.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three to four years of experience in handling Employment Tribunal matters. While formal qualifications are not required, familiarity with the Tribunal litigation process is essential, including:
- Drafting merits assessments
- Instructing and liaising with counsel
- Preparing ET3s and Grounds of Resistance
- Drafting applications, orders, and lists of issues
- Conducting disclosure
- Proofing witnesses and drafting witness statements
- Preparing bundles and other necessary hearing preparations.
