The Role

As an Outreach Tutor at New Way Tuition Ltd, you'll play a vital role in providing personalized education and mentoring to students who require additional support. You'll work with students who may not attend mainstream education due to various reasons, including SEN, SEMH, or risk of permanent exclusion.

This is a rewarding role that offers abundant job satisfaction, involving one-to-one and group sessions in subjects like basic Maths, English, PSHE, interventions, and mentoring. You'll work with students from EYFS to Year 11, operating up to GCSE/Functional Skills levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored tutoring sessions to students of diverse ages and abilities.
  • Inspire and motivate students to overcome obstacles and achieve their academic goals.
  • Build strong connections with students and their families through clear communication and genuine care.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit the unique learning styles and needs of each student.
  • Incorporate cutting-edge educational technology and resources to enhance the learning experience.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in tutoring or teaching, especially with diverse age groups.
  • QTS (QTLS), PGCE, or Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Maths, or related field (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for student success.
  • Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
