**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join our client's Buy to Let team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for underwriting loan applications in accordance with the firm's lending criteria, policies, and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Loan Underwriting and Assessment**: Underwrite and assess loan documentation, including valuation reports, and request additional information from brokers where required, highlighting any concerns.
  • **Applicant and Property Evaluation**: Carry out checks on applicants and properties, assessing their suitability for the loan applied for.
  • **Pipeline Management**: Proactively manage a pipeline of mortgage applications, including chasing outstanding information from third parties and providing timely updates to introducers to maintain service excellence.
  • **Credit Committee Referrals**: Recommend and refer cases to the Credit Committee where credit committee approval is required.
  • **Collaboration and Communication**: Liaise with introducers, valuers, and solicitors to ensure seamless case progression.
  • **Case Oversight**: Oversee cases from inception through to completion, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
