Rico Property Finance Ltd (T/A D&R Recruitment) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mortgage Underwriter to join our team.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a seasoned underwriter with a strong understanding of mortgage lending criteria and regulations to assess loan applications and make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Assess loan applications and underwrite mortgage loans in accordance with our lending criteria and policies.
- Conduct thorough checks on applicants and properties to ensure suitability for the loan applied for.
- Manage a pipeline of mortgage applications, chasing outstanding information from third parties and providing timely updates to introducers.
- Recommend and refer cases to credit committee where necessary.
- Liaise with introducers, valuers, and solicitors to ensure smooth case progression.
- Oversee cases from inception through to completion.
- Strong understanding of FCA requirements and regulations.
- Experience underwriting mortgage applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- Pass internal competency tests post induction.
