Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Full Stack Web Developer to join our team. In this leadership role, you will guide, mentor and grow a team of developers, ensuring the successful development and maintenance of web applications using Laravel, PHP, JavaScript, and CSS, all hosted on AWS.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers in designing, developing, testing, and deploying new features and web applications
- Optimize code and databases
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and programming languages relevant to web development
- Collaborate with project managers to estimate project timelines, prioritize work, and ensure that deliverables are met on time and within budget
- Ensure the implementation of security best practices in all development processes
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:
- 5+ years of experience in web development
- Strong experience with Laravel, PHP, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, and hosting environments
- Experience with database design
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Solid understanding of security best practices in web development
- Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Financial service industry experience
- Experience with banking or payment integrations
- Understanding of blockchain technologies
Location
This role will be based in our office, with easy access to public transportation.
This is an on-site-first position with the potential for hybrid working once the team is established. Following that, there will be a technical test or conversation to assess your coding skills, problem-solving abilities, and understanding of relevant technologies.
We are seeking a Lead Developer to help shape and grow our development team. Your expertise will be pivotal in enhancing our development processes, ensuring best practices are implemented across projects.
