About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex mental health cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of referrals and admissions to the service, including risk assessments and formulation of management plans.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff, including trainees and junior psychiatrists.
  • Lead clinical decision-making in the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement service clinical priorities in line with national and professional guidance and standards.
  • Engage with service transformation programmes and contribute to the development of new services and initiatives.
