About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HGV Maintenance Controller to join our expanding Compliance team based in Castleford. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance of scheduled and reactive maintenance activities for our commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure commercial vehicles in your regional area of responsibility are compliant with maintenance schedules, including PMI, MOTs, and RFL expiry dates.
  • Allocate maintenance activities to internal and external providers, manage POs, and ensure accurate labor and parts costs are recorded.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, drivers, and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of vehicle maintenance.
  • Effectively communicate with supply chain partners, customers, and drivers regarding maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain a network of external maintenance providers to support your regional area.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a transport environment, managing commercial vehicle maintenance activities.
  • Sound knowledge of DVSA's guide to maintaining roadworthiness.
  • Ability to take ownership and responsibility for maintenance activities.
  • Excellent customer service skills and effective communication.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Category B driving license.
