Position Summary: We are currently in search of a proficient Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the team on a shift basis, working from 7am to 7pm on a rotating schedule, such as 4 days on and 4 days off.

Compensation: Upon demonstrating competence in the role, the salary will increase to approximately £43,500.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment in accordance with current standards.
  • Engagement in the operations maintenance function, focusing on the upkeep, repair, testing, and inspection of mechanical apparatus throughout the site.
  • Monitoring and maintaining mechanical systems to ensure optimal plant performance and achievement of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets.
  • Conducting fault diagnosis and rectification on all mechanical systems, as well as overseeing the installation of mechanical equipment for various projects and modifications, including pipefitting and fabrication tasks.
  • Collaborating with project management teams regarding resources, timelines, installation strategies, equipment, and spare parts.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent trade apprenticeship.
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience in an industrial setting as a fitter or fabricator.
  • Recent experience working in an industrial mechanical environment within the last 2 to 3 years.
