Senior Technical Project Manager for Commercial Solar PV Solutions

Evolve Home Energy Solutions is a prominent and thriving organization dedicated to the decarbonization of buildings. We specialize in assessing, designing, and implementing a wide range of decarbonization strategies, alongside developing and marketing energy efficiency products and solutions. Our mission is to assist clients in: - Generating Renewable Energy | Conserving Energy | Reducing Costs. Our clientele spans across Public Sector, Private Sector, and Third Sector.

In light of our recent achievements in domestic projects, we are eager to invest in and broaden our commercial solar PV offerings. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Project Manager to join us in this exciting venture to create industry-leading Commercial Solar PV Solutions.

This role presents an opportunity for a senior professional to leverage their expertise in shaping and delivering Commercial Solar PV projects, collaborating with a highly skilled team. The work environment is both innovative and stable, with our business model ensuring sustainable revenue through diverse solutions and income streams. Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

Oversee the planning and execution of solar projects

Provide regular project updates to the Commercial Director

Technical and SHE (Safety, Health, Environmental)

Conduct site evaluations and analyze data to assess the feasibility of solar installations

Utilize design software to create precise and optimal photovoltaic array layouts

Generate comprehensive design documentation, including layout plans, system specifications, and energy yield forecasts

Possess technical knowledge of large-scale Solar and Battery Storage design and installation methods to support installation processes. Demonstrate a solid understanding of SHE (Safety, Health, Environmental) practices.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with the Commercial Director, Operations Manager, and Sales Team to comprehend customer needs and project specifics.

Provide technical assistance to the sales team and address customer inquiries regarding solar design and performance.

Supervise and mentor a team of solar technicians, engineers, and other project personnel.

Qualifications and Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Proficiency in design software and tools (experience with solar design software is advantageous)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Project Management experience, particularly in delivering large-scale rooftop Solar PV installations

Preferred SMSTS qualification, with SSSTS as a minimum requirement

Willingness to travel and accommodate possible overnight stays

A minimum of 3 years of experience in solar project management, with a proven history of successful project delivery

Compensation Overview:

Salary range: £45k-£50k per annum
