About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Sanctuary Care. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our residents receive high-quality meals that meet their dietary needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the kitchen team, including Assistant Chefs and Catering Assistants, to ensure efficient and effective meal preparation and service.
- Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse dietary needs of our residents, including those with specific allergies or restrictions.
- Monitor and control kitchen inventory, including food and supplies, to ensure optimal usage and minimize waste.
- Ensure that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with our care team to understand the needs of our residents and develop menus that meet their preferences and requirements.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to provide excellent service.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar role, with a strong background in culinary arts and kitchen management.
- Valid food hygiene certificate and a deep understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
