Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at Career Teachers. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique needs.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring that students with SEN are fully integrated into the classroom.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
  • Contribute to the development of a safe and supportive learning environment, adhering to child protection policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a teaching or support role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a flexible and proactive approach to work.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Right to work in the UK.
