We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in LS25. The successful candidate will be working 1:1 with a child who has Special Educational Needs, providing tailored support to help them thrive in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual support to a child with SEN, adapting learning materials and activities to meet their specific needs
  • Assist with both academic and emotional development in a caring and supportive manner
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement effective learning strategies
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential
  • Ability to engage and motivate children with additional needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
