Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the resilience of our business operations by aiding in emergency and crisis planning for the sites under your oversight.
  • Assist in identifying vulnerabilities related to loss, employee experience, and process enhancement, while defining suitable mitigating strategies that comply with legal and ethical standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison for coordinating risk management measures with local management and external entities, including law enforcement and industry organizations, regarding all security-related issues.
  • Ensure that your assigned locations adhere to global security protocols.
  • Lead Security and Loss Prevention initiatives at local, regional, and national levels.

A Day in the Life:

As a Loss Prevention Manager, you will collaborate with a team of Security and Loss Prevention experts, delivering security services to business clients across various sectors within a designated geographical area.

Your role involves conducting regular security audits and investigating policy breaches, security incidents, and loss occurrences. During these investigations, you will gather information through system monitoring, data analysis, and interviews. Your insights will be crucial in pinpointing vulnerabilities in our processes and driving corrective actions.

You will play a vital role in upholding the physical security of our locations by auditing and monitoring the operational status of our systems, and in collaboration with subject matter experts and external partners, ensuring their effectiveness.

Additionally, you will identify and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing our physical security framework and will contribute directly to budget planning for external service providers.

Collaboration: You will engage daily with external security service providers to guarantee the delivery of high-quality security solutions and a seamless experience for our customers.

Moreover, you will develop and implement loss prevention training and awareness programs for teams across all management levels and oversee the execution of our Security and Loss Prevention strategy.

About the Team:

Positioned within the Global Security Operations division, Security and Loss Prevention plays a crucial role in achieving Amazon's business objectives and enhancing our brand by effectively safeguarding against relevant threats and managing security and loss prevention risks that could:

  • Endanger our employees and customers.
  • Interrupt the continuity of our business operations.
  • Cause damage to our assets.
  • Negatively affect our brand reputation.

In partnership with our stakeholders, we secure the Amazon supply chain comprehensively and promote security in business discussions. We achieve this by proactively preventing security and loss-related risks and vulnerabilities, intervening in ongoing incidents to mitigate adverse effects, and thoroughly investigating security-related occurrences to identify and eliminate root causes, preventing recurrence.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant experience in security or risk management (e.g., security services, asset protection, loss prevention, risk management, inventory management, investigations, supply chain, auditing, compliance, or similar).
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting.
  • Upper-intermediate proficiency in written and verbal English.

Preferred Qualifications:

While preferred qualifications are not mandatory for application, candidates with the following will be considered favorably:

  • An advanced degree or industry certification.
  • Experience with physical security systems, investigative techniques, and/or management of contract security personnel.
  • Experience in retail, warehouse, distribution center services, delivery services, or supply chain.
  • Experience working with data.
  • A valid driver's license.
