Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Rehabilitation Physiotherapists to become part of our vibrant and supportive team, gaining invaluable experience within a Hospital Foundation Trust.
Our program includes 6-month rotations across diverse environments such as hospitals, intermediate care, and community settings, allowing staff to solidify fundamental skills while expanding their expertise in specialized areas.
Available rotations include:
- Orthopaedics
- Respiratory / Intensive Care
- Musculoskeletal Outpatients and Gym (including Community settings)
- Geriatric / Medical (in both Acute and Community settings)
- Neurological Rehabilitation (in both Acute and Community settings)
- Vascular
- Rheumatology
Every team member will have a designated clinical supervisor and will benefit from a tailored in-service training program relevant to their rotation, alongside weekly clinical reasoning discussions. Additional support is provided by a comprehensive clinical team, which includes both static and rotational Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistants, and administrative personnel. Teams also have access to Advanced Practice Physiotherapists.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will involve contributing to the physiotherapy service by taking ownership of planning and prioritizing your patient caseload under the guidance of a senior practitioner.
Newly qualified practitioners will receive support through a Preceptorship program designed to facilitate the transition from student to autonomous professional in their first clinical position.
There are opportunities for participation in service enhancement, audits, and clinical governance, with all staff engaging in the Trust's appraisal system.
The services operate with 7-day coverage in certain areas, and the successful candidate must be willing to work weekends, extended hours, and participate in the On Call rota.
The Trust is recognized for its commitment to NHS modernization, prioritizing the welfare and development of its workforce. All staff members have access to wellbeing initiatives and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) funding. Facilities include staff gymnasiums at both hospital locations.
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
- A degree in Physiotherapy (or nearing completion)
- HCPC registration (or in the process of obtaining it)
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle (reasonable adjustments will be considered).
