Art and Design Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and talented Art and Design Teacher to join our dynamic department in a Mainstream Leicestershire Secondary School.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative art and design curriculum that aligns with national standards and encourages students' artistic expression.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can explore various art mediums and techniques, developing their skills and understanding of artistic principles.
  • Evaluate students' work, provide constructive feedback, and track their progress.
  • Stay abreast of current trends in art and design education, participate in professional development opportunities, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the department.
  • Maintain a well-organised and stimulating learning environment, managing behaviour effectively and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Requirements:
  • Holding a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) with QTS is highly advantageous. However, experienced non-qualified teachers will also be considered for the role.
  • Possess a degree in Art, Design, or a related field, showcasing a deep understanding of artistic concepts and techniques.
  • Experience teaching Art and Design at the secondary level, demonstrating a track record of student achievement and engagement is highly advantageous, however, strong ECTs will also be considered for the role.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for education, a commitment to student success, and the ability to inspire and motivate all learners.
