Nursery Apprentice

**Bright Sparks Day Nursery** is looking for a Nursery Apprentices to work towards a Level 3 qualification whilst working within the setting. We are part of a family-run, private group of nurseries and we offer progressive career opportunities in early years childcare. We offer quality care and education for children from birth to 5 years. Our settings have excellent facilities, including large outdoor areas

The main role will include:

- Assist in the day to day care of children.
- Organise and take part in activities.
- Observing children and updating development plans.
- Assist at meal/snack and sleep times
- The role will need you to use your initiative and be confident in your duties.

**Requirements**:

- Are 16 or over, have a passion about care for children and an aptitude for learning
- Minimum requirement are: English and Maths GCSE grades 2 or E or above
- Are able to commit to a full apprenticeship programme
- Have good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Are patient and friendly
- Knowledge of EYFS
- First aid (preferred)
- Basic IT skills (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)

An Enhanced DBS Disclosure and satisfactory references will be required for this position.

**Schedule**:

- Full time position, Monday to Fridays between 8.00 am to 5.30 pm to work

**Experience**
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)

**Salary**

Competitive salary, dependent on age, qualification & experience.

An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.

**Salary**: From £6.00 per hour
