Mental Health Support Specialist

Cygnet Health Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Maidstone. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to implement treatment plans and therapies for service users.
- Provide support and assistance to qualified nurses in delivering care and promoting independence.
- Conduct safe observations of patients, sometimes on a 1:1 basis or with other staff, to ensure their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for service users and staff.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as de-escalation and PMVA techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Resilience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, to meet the needs of the hospital.
- A strong, flexible mental aptitude and ability to cope with the physical demands of the role.
