About the Role

As a Climate Change Ecologist, you'll play a key role in our integrated nature solutions team. You'll work with clients to design and deliver projects that achieve healthier, more resilient environments that support people and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage small projects and contribute to larger projects, including collaborating with ecological subcontractors.
  2. Prepare clear and concise reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Species Survey Reports, Ecological Impact Assessments, and Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments.
  3. Advise on biodiversity design, restoration, and integration of green infrastructure and nature-based solutions to secure biodiversity gain and strengthen climate change resilience measures.
  4. Proactively manage project delivery, including client meetings, project resourcing, project controls, and budgets.
  5. Conduct field surveys, such as Phase 1 Habitat surveys and protected species surveys.
  6. Analyze survey data and manage GIS outputs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, such as Ecology, Zoology, Geography, or Biology (or equivalent).
  • Experience in designing and conducting ecological surveys, managing sub-consultants, and reviewing their performance.
  • Associate membership of CIEEM or equivalent professional body, with a commitment to Chartership and ongoing professional development.

This role may require travel across Northern Ireland, Ireland, Scotland, and the north of England, with opportunities to work with teams in other offices.
