We are seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Anaesthetic / Recovery Nurses / ODPs to become part of our innovative and collaborative team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. Our goal is to enhance our Theatres, establishing Swansea Bay as a leading hub for Regional Orthopaedic Surgery.

Our Theatres have recently been modernized, featuring three advanced modular operating rooms. We currently operate eight theatres, providing elective surgical services from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will exhibit flexibility and adaptability. Staff may be required to work across multiple hospital locations within the Swansea Bay University Health Board as service demands fluctuate.

We are committed to fostering your professional growth and enhancing your skills through educational initiatives, including partnerships with the University of Wales, Swansea, to support your ongoing professional development.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for documenting theatre activities electronically, thus proficiency in IT is essential.

This position involves providing care to patients in the theatre environment, who will undergo various surgical procedures across multiple specialties. You will be expected to manage patient care throughout the perioperative process.

Joining our team means engaging in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be expected to contribute effectively as a team member.

This role is both physically and mentally demanding, and the successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to excel in a challenging service that prioritizes patient care.
