Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a Healthcare Assistant - Blood Donation, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Donor Centres and community sessions.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in comprehensive training to learn the skills required for blood donation, including needle insertion and blood product handling.
- Provide exceptional care to donors, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the donation process.
- Maintain accurate records of donor documentation and ensure the safe handling of blood products and equipment.
- Build strong relationships with donors to encourage repeat donations and deliver a high-quality customer experience.
- Work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with notice of the rota.
About You
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will have experience of dealing with the public and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Training
- Hold a good standard of numeracy and literacy.
- Be willing to undertake development and training to upskill yourself, including completion of the Skills for Health Care Certificate.
