Overview:

Intec Select is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with expertise in Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems. This pivotal role involves steering the analysis, design, and implementation of system enhancements that drive operational efficiency and innovation within the trading domain.

The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of ETRM platforms, coupled with outstanding analytical skills and a strategic approach to problem-solving. This position is integral to the organization and encompasses the following key responsibilities:

  • Leading the assessment of intricate business requirements, outlining processes, and proposing enhancements to ETRM systems to align with organizational goals.
  • Acting as the main point of contact between business units and IT, ensuring effective communication and alignment on project objectives and outcomes.
  • Designing and supervising the deployment of sophisticated ETRM solutions, including tailored functionalities, to bolster trading operations and risk management processes.
  • Conducting comprehensive testing and validation of new system features, ensuring compliance with high-quality standards and business requirements prior to implementation.
  • Offering mentorship and support to junior analysts, promoting a culture of continuous development and professional advancement within the team.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a technical business analyst capacity within the energy trading sector.
  • Proven experience with Endur/Findur, including the ability to analyze and resolve complex business challenges, alongside a deep understanding of their architecture and customization options, including integration.
  • Extensive knowledge of energy trading and risk management (ETRM) end-to-end business processes, encompassing trade exchange integration, trade capture, trade valuation, confirmations, invoicing, and risk reporting.
  • Strong practical experience with T-SQL (SQL Server or Oracle) is essential, with additional knowledge of Python, Java, or similar scripting languages being advantageous.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Financial and Physical North American Power and Gas Markets.
  • Understanding of US or EU Renewables Trading.
  • Exceptional project management abilities, demonstrated through a successful track record of leading large-scale ETRM implementation or enhancement initiatives.
  • Experience in designing in-house ETRMs or transitioning to different ETRM systems is highly valued.
