Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver care and assistance to residents in all aspects of daily living, adhering to their support plans to enhance their quality of life.
- Support residents with their physical and mental health needs, including personal care.
- Encourage residents' physical wellbeing through regular health assessments and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop inclusive and person-centered support plans for residents.
- Facilitate residents' involvement, independence, and choice in their daily activities, in line with their individual programs and operational guidelines.
- Assist residents in integrating into the local community and gaining new experiences.
- Promote social interaction by supporting residents during communal dining and fostering a welcoming environment.
- Build and maintain supportive relationships with residents to enhance their recovery journey and create a therapeutic living environment.
- Accompany residents on outings and shopping trips.
- Participate in meal preparation and serving, considering residents' preferences and dietary needs.
- Engage in scheduled activities with residents, ensuring their involvement in everyday living tasks.
- Act as a co-key worker for a resident, with guidance from the key worker or management.
- Support residents in all areas outlined in their recovery support plans, focusing on a progressive care pathway.
- Exhibit respect, acceptance, and tolerance towards those in need of support, ensuring their dignity is upheld at all times.
This list of duties is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake additional responsibilities following discussion with their line manager.
