Shift Pattern: 5 over 7

Working Hours: 45 hours per week

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at Gyle Shopping Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operational delivery of security, maintenance, landscaping, and cleaning services to the highest standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the security, maintenance, landscaping, and cleaning teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the external services, maintenance, and landscaping teams to ensure all operations are fully compliant.
  • Provide essential operational support to the Centre Management Team.
  • Ensure that all teams exceed monthly KPI service levels.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all team members are fully trained in their roles.
  • Control the delivery of staff rosters to ensure manning levels are maintained.
  • Complete monthly payroll.
  • Carry out daily audits to ensure high standards are maintained, compiling a daily report to bring any issues to the attention of the management team.
  • Ensure that any training requirements are completed in a timely manner and update the training matrix accordingly.
  • Prioritise incidents, ensuring all key personnel are informed and reports are completed in a timely manner.
  • Deliver excellent leadership, communication, and motivation to the teams on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that staff on site are fully conversant with their individual tasks.
  • Manage incident and accident reporting procedures.
  • Ensure all assignment instructions and risk assessments are updated and meet the needs of the site.
  • Ensure all HR-related cases specific to team members on site are followed up and actioned.
  • Ensure all team members carry out their duties correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Manage the maintenance and correct/safe usage of all equipment on site, reporting and resolving any faults in a timely manner.
  • Ensure correct usage of cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulations.
  • Ensure all team members are familiar with and adhere to on-site health and safety policies.
  • Ensure the welfare needs of all team members are addressed promptly, obtaining advice and guidance in line with ABM policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an excellent relationship with all on-site parties, including retailers.
  • Ensure we maintain a 'one team' approach with the Centre Management and ABM teams.
  • Undertake any reasonable duties as requested to meet the needs of both the client and the operational needs of the business.

Requirements:

  • Valid SIA Security Licence.
  • Valid CCTV licence desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years' security and cleaning management experience.
  • IOSH.
  • Excellent IT literacy skills.
  • Strong customer service focus with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation, confidence, and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work effectively within a busy, dynamic working environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise work tasks.
  • Ability to get on well with others and inspire respect and confidence.
