We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at Gyle Shopping Centre in Edinburgh. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operational delivery of security, maintenance, landscaping, and cleaning services to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the external services, maintenance, and landscaping teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the security and cleaning teams, providing essential operational support to the Centre Management Team.
  • Ensure that all teams exceed monthly KPI service levels and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs for team members, ensuring they are fully trained in their roles and responsibilities.
  • Manage staff rosters, payroll, and incident reporting procedures, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and effective problem-solving.
  • Conduct daily audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, COSHH, and other relevant policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with centre management, retailers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Valid SIA Security Licence.
  • Valid CCTV licence desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in security and cleaning management.
  • IOSH certification.
  • Excellent IT literacy skills.
  • Strong customer service focus with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation, confidence, and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work tasks.
