Job Title: Aesthetic Field Service Engineer

At OA, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aesthetic Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the commissioning, servicing, and periodic maintenance of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and associated battery solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out site visits for service and maintenance of UPS systems, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on all types, makes, and models of UPS, batteries, switchgear, and control systems, using your expertise and knowledge to resolve issues.
  • Replace service parts in line with remedial documentation, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Commission UPS and battery systems, and associated switchgear equipment, to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance.
  • Conduct battery testing using up-to-date testers and Flir equipment, providing accurate and reliable results.
  • Support the business SLA requirements for breakdown response times, ensuring that all service visits are completed within agreed deadlines.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to internal departments and customers, offering expert advice and guidance when required.
  • Accurately complete all service visit reports, ensuring that full recommendations for remedial actions are included, and submit reports within agreed deadlines.
  • Update the company CRM system with all relevant information, ensuring that records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Participate in the company on-call rota, providing 24/7 support and coverage as required.
  • Follow safety regulations and PPE control requirements, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Conduct dynamic on-site risk assessments before commencing any work, identifying potential hazards and taking necessary precautions.
  • Attend manufacturer training to improve and develop your knowledge and skill set, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Electronic Qualification
  • Electrical qualification and hands-on experience
  • ECS Card (not essential)
  • 5 years working as a field engineer on UPS systems
  • Experience of power electronics
  • Experience working on medium voltage applications
  • Full UK driving license
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues
  • Good personal organization skills
  • Experience in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient in the use of IT for report writing and UPS system interrogation
  • Strong sense of accountability
