- Be actively involved in contributing to the entire operational process, from engineering design through to delivery.
- Programming, setting, validating, and operating CNC machines in turning, grinding, metrology, flexible machining centers, heavy machining, and heavy grinding.
- Working from and interpreting engineering drawings and computer-generated models.
- Applying knowledge of materials and machining techniques.
- Work with minimal supervision and effectively plan workload to meet targets and KPIs.
- Programming, validation, and editing of CNC programs, including the use of software tools such as Vericut and Delcam.
- Experienced in operating 5-axis and multi-pallet machine tools using advanced control systems.
- Several years of experience in operating precision CNC machinery before advancing to part-programming using modern software.
- NC Programming of components using Feature Cam programming software experience.
- Skilled in working with a variety of materials, particularly cast irons, steels, and bronze alloys.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during machining processes.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the business, including working different shift patterns and overtime as required.
