Childrenswear & Babywear Designer

Our client, a well-established supplier of High Street fashion, is seeking an experienced Childrenswear Designer to join their team in Leicester. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childrenswear, boys, girls, and babywear, and a working knowledge of the UK High Street retailers.

The Role:
  • Identify and develop relevant childrenswear trends
  • Build strong relationships with High Street Buyers
  • Present ranges and take Buyers' briefs for developments
  • Understand garment construction and production constraints
  • Produce detailed tech packs and brief suppliers confidently
  • Work closely with the team offshore
The Candidate:
  • Must have a commercial eye that complements trend awareness
  • Proven background in Children's/Babywear Design
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, presenting to buyers and building relationships
  • Computer literate with excellent CAD skills
  • A team player with problem-solving skills
  • Graphic Design Skills desirable but not essential
  • Full and Permanent Right To Work in the UK
