Synthetic Chemist

CK Group is seeking a highly skilled Medicinal Chemist to join their clinical stage oncology biotechnology company in West London. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of novel tumour microenvironment targeted therapeutics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee compound management and quality control analysis across multiple projects.
- Manage chemical and biological data to support ongoing synthesis and understanding of structure-activity relationships.
- Track compound synthesis and assay scheduling across multiple projects.
- Support the synthesis of novel compounds with the potential to become pre-clinical candidates.
- Collaborate with contract research organizations (CROs).
- Participate in team meetings and present data to colleagues and management.
Requirements:
- PhD/MSc in Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field with experience in drug discovery.
- Strong synthetic chemistry skills and experience with a variety of synthetic techniques.
- Experience with chemistry/biology data handling systems, such as CDD or Dotmatics.
- Experience with modern synthetic and analytical techniques, including HPLC, LCMS, and NMR.
- Collaborative approach and ability to operate successfully in both team environments and as a sole worker.
- Able to multitask and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
