This position is ideal for an ambitious individual seeking a unique opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities and be recognized for their contributions.

We are currently seeking an ESG Analyst to become a vital part of our accomplished ESG team. This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel required for office meetings. We have openings for both junior and senior analysts, and candidates should be prepared for occasional travel, including potential overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:


Your role will involve assisting in the preparation of ESG disclosures for our industrial, commercial, and public sector clients, utilizing frameworks such as TCFD, CDP, PRI, GRI, SASB, and GRESB.

Additionally, you will collaborate with the ESG team to develop effective client strategies aimed at setting and achieving ambitious carbon reduction goals and other ESG impacts.

Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of client solutions that enhance our ESG services, ensuring they remain at the forefront of this evolving market.

The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in data analysis and report generation for strategic ESG and reporting services, focusing on TCFD, Climate Scenarios, CDP, and other ESG Disclosures and Assessments, as well as Net Zero Strategy development and Science-Based Targets.
  • Supporting the collection and analysis of technical and financial data related to environmental, social, and governance solutions to provide actionable insights to clients.
  • Conducting research and analysis to strengthen our evidence base on climate scenarios, carbon reduction, and contributing to external communications.
  • Adhering to the company’s Health & Safety Policy; ensuring personal and collective safety; collaborating with management and colleagues to meet our objectives and legal obligations.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to continuous learning and skill development
  • Ability to independently research complex topics and draw concise conclusions and recommendations
  • Proficiency in maintaining organized documentation, including assumptions and methodologies, version control, and creating easily auditable spreadsheets.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a professional demeanor
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workload effectively and meet tight deadlines
  • Awareness and interest in ESG, climate change mitigation, and Net Zero strategies, along with relevant global and national policy drivers
  • Proficiency in translating complex technical data and concepts into client-ready information
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong writing skills for report generation
  • Degree in a STEM or Humanities discipline or equivalent professional experience

Desirable:
  • 2+ years of experience in consultancy or analytical roles, particularly in ESG, carbon management, or broader environmental practices
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency, renewable energy technologies, and carbon offset mechanisms and their role in decarbonization
  • Experience with product life cycle assessments
  • Familiarity with carbon footprint calculations, including Scope 1, 2, and SECR reporting
  • Experience in producing Scope 3 Inventories
  • Knowledge of reporting and compliance frameworks such as CDP
  • Comfort in a consultancy environment
