Position Overview:
This role is ideal for a driven and career-oriented individual eager to showcase their capabilities and receive recognition for their contributions. We are seeking an ESG Analyst to become part of our accomplished ESG team. This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel required to our offices. We have openings for both junior and senior analysts, and candidates should be prepared for occasional travel, including potential overnight stays.


Key Responsibilities:


Your role will involve supporting the preparation of ESG disclosures for our industrial, commercial, and public sector clients, utilizing frameworks such as TCFD, CDP, PRI, GRI, SASB, and GRESB.

You will also assist the ESG team in developing effective client strategies aimed at setting and achieving ambitious carbon reduction targets and addressing other ESG impacts.

Additionally, you will contribute to the creation of client solutions that enhance our ESG services, ensuring they remain at the forefront of this evolving market.

The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include, but are not limited to:


  • Assisting in data analysis and report generation for strategic ESG and reporting services, focusing on TCFD, Climate Scenarios, CDP, and other ESG Disclosures and Assessments, as well as Net Zero Strategy development and Science Based Targets.
  • Collating and analyzing technical and financial data on environmental, social, and governance solutions to provide actionable insights to clients.
  • Conducting research and analysis to strengthen our evidence base in climate scenarios, carbon neutrality, and contributing to external communications.
  • Adhering to the company’s Health & Safety Policy, ensuring the safety of oneself and others, and collaborating with colleagues to meet our objectives and legal obligations.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to continuous learning and skill development
  • Ability to independently research complex topics and formulate clear conclusions and recommendations
  • Proficiency in maintaining organized documentation and following analytical best practices
  • Effective communication skills, both in person and in writing
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Skill in managing workload to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • Awareness and interest in ESG, climate change mitigation, and Net Zero strategies, along with relevant global and national policy drivers
  • Capability to translate complex technical data into client-ready formats
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong report writing skills
  • A degree in a STEM or Humanities discipline or equivalent professional experience

Desirable:
  • Over 2 years of experience in consultancy or analytical roles with a focus on ESG, carbon management, or broader environmental issues
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency, renewable energy technologies, and carbon offset mechanisms
  • Experience in product life cycle assessment
  • Familiarity with carbon footprint calculations, including Scope 1, 2, and SECR reporting
  • Experience in producing Scope 3 Inventories
  • Knowledge of reporting and compliance schemes such as CDP
  • Comfortable in a consultancy environment
