About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist to join our Integrated Mental Health team at a category B Prison. As a key member of the clinical leadership team, you will play a vital role in the development of the psychological therapies service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical support and oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team
  • Conduct psychological assessments and support complex multi-disciplinary formulations
  • Deliver psychological interventions to cases of complexity
  • Develop and oversee 1:1 and group interventions as part of the Trauma Informed 'Making Sense' Programme
  • Deliver teaching and training to healthcare and prison staff as required
  • Contribute to the development of audit, service evaluation, and research profile as appropriate

Requirements:

  • Registered with a professional body or regulatory body as appropriate to psychological therapy discipline
  • Experience of highly specialist psychological assessment and individual and group-based treatment of clients across various care settings
  • Experience working with psychological trauma
