Shire Healthcare is working with a reputable and leading provider of specialist care and education, recruiting for a HCPC registered psychologist to be based in central Lancashire.

This employer is an independent leading provider of specialist care and education, working with children and young people in either an educational and/or residential setting who present a complexity of needs, including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions, autism, ADHD, and special educational needs.

Role Snapshot

The candidate appointed will be joining a multidisciplinary team and will conduct clinical assessments and provide specialist and evidence-based psychological interventions in either a 1:1 or group setting to pupils and residents (9-18 years old). This role will be based across specialist schools, children's homes, and integrated provisions. This specific role is based within a school that is Ofsted-rated as a Good provider.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical assessments and provide specialist and evidence-based psychological interventions in either a 1:1 or group setting to pupils and residents (9-18 years old)
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to children and young people with complex needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each child or young person
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers, social workers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to care and support
Requirements

Candidates applying will have HCPC registration as a Clinical, Counselling, Forensic, or Educational Psychologist, along with previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs, such as ASD, autism, neuro, and/or trauma.
