Lincoln, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom Turning Point Full time
Job Overview

Introduction

An exceptional opportunity has emerged to become part of a dynamic partnership dedicated to delivering comprehensive substance use treatment and recovery services. This initiative is a collaboration among various organizations, combining extensive experience in substance use provision with a focus on lived experience and recovery.

The partnership is committed to a 'Recovery First' philosophy, ensuring that recovery is central to all services offered. This approach is designed to provide localized support for individuals facing multiple challenges across the region.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will have the chance to advance your career through a structured learning pathway, tailored to help you achieve your professional aspirations.

Key Responsibilities

In your role, you will oversee the psychological services across the partnership, ensuring that evidence-based practices are integrated throughout. Your responsibilities will include providing clinical guidance, training, and leadership to staff, while also innovating approaches to support individuals using substances.

You will maintain a small caseload of clients with complex needs, delivering specialized psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions. Additionally, you will participate in local governance meetings, contributing to clinical governance and multidisciplinary case discussions.

Collaboration with partner organizations will be essential to enhance referral processes and service delivery for individuals facing both substance use and mental health challenges. You will represent the partnership in strategic meetings, advocating for improved services.

Your role will also involve shaping the strategic direction of the service, fostering relationships with other service providers, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in treatment approaches that encompass broader issues such as housing and employment.

Furthermore, you will collaborate with a national team of psychologists to develop and refine psychological and psycho-social strategies, while providing supervision and support to other practitioners within the service.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess current registration with the relevant professional body as a Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologist, along with a doctorate in their area of expertise. Proven experience in delivering psychological services and leading clinical teams is essential, particularly with substance use populations.

Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to the recovery ethos will be crucial for success in this leadership role. Experience in supervising psychological staff and formal training in supervision will be advantageous.

This position is aimed at experienced psychologists, while opportunities are also available for newly qualified professionals seeking to develop their careers.

Benefits

We recognize that rewards vary for each individual, and we strive to support our employees through a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Extensive learning and development opportunities tailored to your career growth.
  • Generous paid holiday allowance, with options to buy or sell additional leave.
  • Exclusive discounts on various services and products to enhance your financial wellbeing.

  • Access to confidential counseling services and wellbeing resources.
  • A 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme offering various support services.
  • Recognition awards and bonuses for outstanding contributions.
