Internal Commercial Projects Coordinator

Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial, the Internal Commercial Projects Coordinator will be instrumental within the IPS Commercial Team, dedicated to achieving results for internal stakeholders by facilitating new business opportunities. The key performance indicators for this role include the development, management, and coordination of projects that ultimately contribute to the company's revenue growth.
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Primary Responsibilities of the Internal Commercial Projects Coordinator:
- Develop comprehensive cost models for individual IPS locations, which can be utilized by the broader team in securing new business. Ensure these models are robust and incorporate historical operational data, leveraging tools such as Power BI and Vision systems for accurate data capture.
- Analyze recent tenders, bids, and customer acquisition successes, presenting findings to the team in a manner that highlights best practices and suggests improvements to minimize lost opportunities.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of existing cost models and assess profitability by product and location, formulating recommended actions for any discrepancies found.
- Assist in the formulation, execution, and oversight of a business development strategy that emphasizes growth and the delivery of exceptional customer experiences across the organization.
- Create customer-facing materials to support new business acquisition and ensure the maintenance of this information.
- Provide assistance to the Junior Account Manager in onboarding new clients, aiding in information collection and preparing business cases for internal capital expenditure approvals when necessary.
- Gain a solid understanding of existing customer co-packing needs, utilizing this knowledge to identify additional revenue opportunities within the customer base.
- Evaluate customer proposals for the Head of Business Development through detailed analysis and summary production, using this data to assess potential revenue and contributions that will guide future actions.
- Lead customer events or showcase days, accurately capturing the return on investment for internal assessment and formulating recommendations based on outcomes.
- Collaborate with various IPS/Culina teams to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices in securing new leads or business opportunities.
- Manage commercial tenders, internal projects, and price increase analysis in conjunction with the broader Commercial Team.
- Research and identify new opportunities that align with the strengths of the organization.
- Lead discussions regarding price increases with customers alongside the Commercial team, fully understanding the cost increase drivers and communicating these effectively and collaboratively.
- Serve as a role model for colleagues, consistently demonstrating IPS values and behaviors.
- Collaborate with the central legal team as needed to ensure compliance and fair working agreements, maintaining detailed records of existing tenders and their renewal timelines.
- Build strong relationships with Site Leads across the IPS group.
Qualifications
This multifaceted role offers the successful candidate the chance to gain an in-depth understanding of various functions, including finance, commercial operations, and logistics.
- Knowledge of the food industry.
- Proven understanding of co-packing and production management, including associated labor costs.
- Familiarity with packaging development and design.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and positively.
