About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a specialist primary school in Newham. The successful candidate will work closely with a teacher and other teaching assistants to provide support to students with complex learning difficulties and autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with complex needs, including those with autism and severe learning difficulties
  • Assist with personal care tasks, such as toileting and feeding, as needed
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students in developing their communication skills and interacting with the outside world
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized education plans
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with autism and severe learning difficulties
  • Ability to provide individualized support and create a positive learning environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
