About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel, a market-leading education agency partnering with a well-established SEN school that caters to students with Autism and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to the needs of students with Autism and SEMH, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  2. Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of students, ensuring individual education plans (IEPs) are met.
  3. Collaborate with the wider school team, including SEN specialists, teaching assistants, and parents, to support student progress.
  4. Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students and manage classroom behavior effectively.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  2. Experience teaching English, preferably within an SEN or alternative provision setting.
  3. A strong understanding of Autism and SEMH and how these impact learning and development.
  4. A commitment to inclusive education and a passion for working with students with special educational needs.
