Quality Lineside Engineer Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen in Airbus UK Broughton for a skilled Quality Lineside Engineer to join the Quality Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert Quality support and guidance on drawings, parts, processes, and support services to ensure Quality requirements are met.
  • Ensure the Quality system is adhered to within the business through regular surveillance activities.
  • Coordinate and lead reported quality/technical issues from teams and customers, ensuring corrective and preventive action is taken by the accountable function.
  • Perform initial investigations to assess probable root cause, informing the accountable function and ensuring corrective and preventative action is taken.
  • Conduct investigations to assess the probable root cause of any deficiency noted during process confirmation activities, ensuring corrective and preventive action is taken.
  • Compile and present Quality overview to the leadership team within the business area.
Required Skillset
  • Ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use associated problem-solving tool sets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to challenge appropriately while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Data analysis skills - interpret data sets, graphical data, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to work well as part of an integrated team alongside operational and cross-functional team members.
  • Quality or engineering-based background (desirable) within a major manufacturing industry.
