Job Summary

The Project Controls Risk Engineer will play a key role in delivering the Project Controls responsibilities with a focus on risk control and management processes. This individual will support the Project Controls Manager in the wider controls environment, including cost, planning, and production control and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop the Work, Cost, and Risk Breakdown Structures (WBS, CBS, and RBS).
  • Facilitate the implementation of the general Project Controls Management processes, with a particular focus on the Risk Management system.
  • Implement risk management procedures and keep the Risk Management Plan up-to-date.
  • Coordinate the linkage between the programme, estimate, cost, and risk management systems using project software (P6 and Prism).
  • Develop and maintain the project risk register, producing periodic risk reports and facilitating risk management to Senior Project Managers.
  • Deal with variations and change control processes to maintain the performance measurement baseline.
  • Conduct cost checks, analyze trends, and identify risks, helping risk owners to assess risk costs.
  • Liaise with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to processes.
  • Support the preparation of presentation materials for Performance Measurement Updates, with a focus on risk.
Qualifications, Certifications & Experience
  • Previous relevant experience in Cost, Planning, and Risk management environments.
  • Previous relevant experience in construction and a good understanding of other functions within Project Controls.
  • Proven ability to use IT systems, mainly advanced Excel.
  • Understanding of contract types and how to compile contract documentation.
  • Understanding of techniques for project planning, risk management, cost control.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6.
  • Knowledge of EVA techniques.
  • Knowledge of risk management processes and cost risk assessment.
