Job Description

**Job Title:** Project Manager - Fit Out UK

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Fit Out UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing our retail/commercial projects in London, the South East, and occasionally across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage site managers, direct labour, and sub-contract labour to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Interface with equivalent managers in cost management, M&E, transport, distribution, procurement, combined installation, and design.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scoping works, preparing project programmes, and ensuring delivery in accordance with project implementation plans and company guidelines.
  • Manage project risks, including establishing and maintaining a project risk register, and reporting risks to the workstream manager.
  • Attend management calls and meetings, and produce and distribute notes and minutes.
  • Allocate actions to other individuals and ensure they are completed.
  • Prepare and track project programmes, and report date changes to the workstream and programme manager.
  • Engage site management and sub-contractors, and ensure construction is in accordance with relevant building regulations and recognised best practice.
  • Manage and ensure building control and BREEAM certification is obtained where required.
  • Obtain permits as required, and complete takes off and requisition materials via the portal.
  • Produce relevant Health & Safety paperwork, and obtain confirmation of adequacy pre-start.
  • Record changes and manage variations, and manage on-site works as required.
  • Self-snag and quality manage, and report on-site progress and risk to the workstream manager and cost manager.
  • Hand over the project to the client, and prepare and manage the snagging report.
  • Ensure the snags are uploaded by the admin support team, and engage relevant contractors to complete snags and handover variations in accordance with the SLA.
  • Ensure all O&M documentation is obtained and uploaded in accordance with the SLA, and prepare and submit completion statements, regulation 38 files, and fire compliance reports.
  • Support the final account preparation process, and perform other duties as deemed necessary by the workstream manager to ensure project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills.
  • Basic MS Project skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
  • Minimum 5 years' contracts management experience.
  • Flexibility to work away from home occasionally.
