Commercial Media Manager

A leading media company is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead their sales teams and oversee the budget. This is a fantastic opportunity for a media/advertising professional to join a company that offers continuous progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Create and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development to the sales team.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to recruit, train, and retain top sales talent.
  • Negotiate, develop, and manage Key Accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships, ensuring profitability and alignment with company goals.
  • Develop customised media solutions that meet the specific needs of clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to deliver a multi-media solution across print, radio, and digital.
  • Work closely with the marketing, production, and content teams to align sales efforts with the company's overall strategy.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure all sales activities are tracked and documented in the CRM system.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of media platforms, advertising products, and industry trends.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in digital media sales and programmatic advertising.
  • Desirable Criteria: Strong network of contacts in media and advertising industry 3+ years in media
